Presented by the Friends of Moseley Woods
Bring your family, bring a picnic, invite the neighbors. Moseley Woods Park announces it's sixth season of summer concerts, a series of four family-friendly events, all on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00.
Come on down and enjoy the pine-scented air, the views of the river and some great music from these fantastic performers. Each of our shows promise to be a great time.

Chris Richard |
Joint Fund-raiser |
This popular Newburyport native and firefighter returns to the concert series for his fourth year. Chris sings current popular tunes and original songs, accompanying himself on the guitar. Donation collected during his shows are split between the Newburyport Parks Department and a charity of Chris' choice. Last years show allowed us to donate over $1,700 to the Lets March Against Cancer, an organization dedicated to finding a cure for cancer, in memory of his wife. We're going to top that this year!
This year Chris is raising money for The Cassidy Brown Fund. Cassidy, 7 of Newbury, MA was diagnosed with the rare Kawasaki's disease in 2007. "Cassidy is not only a survivor of the disease, but is an inspiration to those families being affected by it", says Richard. His own son Jason, 6, was recently diagnosed with Kawasaki's in its early stages. Because of the Brown family's outreach, Richard was able to get timely treatment for his son, who is a grateful survivor of the disease. He believes that public education is the key to beating this disease. |
